This month, the Civil Service Commission released the new operations document for procurement, assets and logistics divisions to the VPs of Human Capital in the government. The operations document defines all the new occupations and sorting procedures in these divisions in light of the human capital report in the procurement, assets and logistics divisions. This report was written by a team headed by the Government Division of the Prime Minister's Office and with the participation of the Civil Service Commission, the Accountant General Division and other representatives. The team was convened out of an understanding of the centrality of procurement in advancing government policy and execution capabilities as well as in the quality of services provided to citizens. The purpose of the report is to promote government procurement through strengthening of human capital in procurement divisions. Publication of the operations document is the beginning of full implementation of the report in government ministries and auxiliary units.
